IRWIN, William (Bill) - Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie on Monday, October 22nd, 2007 at the age of 82. Cherished husband of Donna (nee Weller) for 61 years and beloved father of Pat, Erin, Mark, Tim, and Judy. Proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 3 great- grandchildren. Bill grew up on a farm in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, joined the RCAF during the war, served for 31 years in Canada and overseas, and then worked for Litton Systems in Toronto until retirement. He was a volunteer at the Royal Victoria Hospital and a long-time active member and past-president of the Golden K (Kiwanis). Bill was a devoted and loving husband; a wonderful and much-loved father, grandfather, uncle, brother, brother-in-law, and father-in-law; and a great friend to many. His loving support and easy humour will be deeply missed. Friends are welcome to join Bill's family in a celebration of his life on Saturday, October 27th at 1:30 p.m. at the Jennett Chapel of the McCLELLAND & SLESSOR FUNERAL HOME, 152 Bradford Street in Barrie; reception to follow.
