EDELSTEIN, Erika (nee Winkler). Peacefully, after a long and heroic battle, on Sunday, September 30, 2007, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife and best friend of Dr. Eugene. Devoted mother of Kim, Judi and Michael Langburt, and Chaim. Cherished Bubby of Ellisha, Dylan and Olivia. Dear sister and sister-in-law of George and Evelyn, Yehuda, and Marie and the late Robert Winkler. She was a wonderful friend to all who knew her. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff of the Jewish General and Mount Sinai Hospitals for their exceptional care and compassion. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W. on Tuesday, October 2 at 12 p.m. Burial at the Adath Israel Poale Zedek Congregation Cemetery, de la Savane. Shiva at her residence from 3 to 9 p.m. daily. Due to the festival of Succot, shiva commences on Saturday night, October 6.
