MACDONALD, Donald. Peacefully on September 29, 2007 at the Ste. Anne's Veteran Hospital. Beloved husband of Elaine for sixty years. Father of Nancy (the late Steve) and the late Kelly Ann. Brother of the late Kay and Leo Carroll and the late Harry. Brother -in-law of Gerry Snyder (Iate Gleen). He will be greatly missed by nieces, nephews and many friends. Served aboard the Port Arthur 1939-1945. Member of Legion Branch 57 for sixty years. Many thanks to all his nurses, caregivers and to Dr. Perreault on 3B (4B) for their outstanding care and devotion and to all the volunteers and our good friend Florence. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Ste. Anne's Hospital Foundation. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 2 from 5 to 9 p.m at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Sources, Dollard-des-Ormeaux, (514) 685-3344. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at 11 a.m. in the Rideau Chapel. Cremation at Rideau Memorial Gardens and burial at Field of Honor will follow at a later date.
