O'FARRELL, William (Bill) 1929-2007 After a full and happy life, Bill passed away in hospital on Thursday, September 27. Much loved and dear friend of his wife Velma Stewart. Dear brother of Maybelle Turner of Winnipeg. Loving father of William Sr. (Janice O'Farrell), Leslie (Norman Clubb) and Elaine (Douglas Hoover). Dear grandpa to Alex, Liz, Keely, Erin, Samantha and Zoe. Bill worked at Crawley Films for many years. He won many awards in the film industry, including Canada's first Oscar for The Man Who Skied Down Everest. He was associated with Proulx Bros. and General Assembly. In keeping with Bill's wishes, a private celebration of his life will be held by his family. In lieu of flowers, donations to CHEO would be appreciated. Published in the Ottawa Citizen on 10/2/2007
