SCOTT, John Watt "Duthie" Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Patterson, much loved father of Joan and very special Grandfather to Cindy Jackson (Brian); Jamie Norton; Melanie Rymer (Ron); and Kim Briggs, Great Grandfather to Matthew and Zachary Rymer, Nicole and Victor Norton; Ryan, Shaun and Chris Briggs and best pal to Gypsy who will also miss him very much. Dad died Wednesday October 3rd, eight months past his 100th birthday while doing the things he so loved to do, working around the house. If something needed fixing, you never needed to light a fire under Dad, it was fixed pronto. As one neighbour told him a few years ago as he was perched on a ladder, "Duthie you're going to die with your boots on", and that he did, doing what he loved most! In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Heart Institute of Ottawa would be appreciated. A Memorial Service will be held at Parkwoods Presbyterian Church, 10 Chesterton Drive, off Meadowlands on October 20, 2007 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Refreshments to follow in the Church Hall.
