Maria EDER

NUSSBAUM, Maria (nee Eder) Formerly of Montreal, born in Vienna, Austria on August 4, 1916. Maria passed away peacefully at the Queensway Carleton Hospital, Ottawa, on Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Kurt (1990). Loving mother to Christine (Paul Coma). Cherished Omi to Jennifer (Jimmy Spadaccini), Patricia (Peter Kassotis) and her great-grandchildren, Paulo and Dante Spadaccini and Andreus Kassotis. Predeceased by her parents Leopold Eder and Anna (Pimminger), as well as her brothers, Karl, Anton, Hans, Leopold and Franz. She will be fondly remembered by her nephews in Canada and Austria, as well as all her friends from the "Frohen Runde". Sincere thanks to Dr. Swami and the wonderful nurses on the 3rd floor at the QCH, as well as all the staff and volunteers at Carlingview Manor. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m on Friday, October 12th at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa). A reception for family and friends will follow. Private interment will take place in Pinecrest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
