OBITUARY JUNE KELLEY It is with great sadness in our hearts, that we announce the passing of June on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. June was the loving wife of the late Robert L. Kelley, mother of Kathleen Kelley, Robert Kelley Jr. and his wife the late Colleen and June Gamble and her husband Edward. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Brandon Kelley (Tara), Erin Kelley (Todd), Kellie Gamble, Dianna Gamble and her great-grandchildren Avery, Mackenzie and Ehyren. June was born in Portland, Oregon on October 9, 1920 to her parents Pearl and Weston McKenney. She was a beautiful and intelligent young woman who went to Oregon State University to study Chemistry. During WWII she assisted the government's efforts in food inspection. It was the war that brought she and her husband together. He was a US Military Soldier stationed in California and in 1942, they married and began their family. June was a caring and loving mother who always wanted the very best for her family. In 1967, the family moved to Montreal, where Robert worked for Manchester Liners. June became an avid gardener, a seasoned potter, a lover of nature and an excellent golfer.She most enjoyed being with her children and being a Grandma. She frequently visited her families in both Portland and Hamilton and in 1986, after the loss of her husband she moved to Hamilton. June would often say she was going to "love us and leave us", but would never say goodbye. She was a classic, graceful and beautiful woman who may have left us, but will always love us. Her inner strength always showed through as she became a more delicate and fragile flower. Visitation at BAY GARDENS FUNERAL HOME, 1010 Botanical Drive (across from the Royal Botanical Gardens), BURLINGTON, ON (905-527-0405) on Friday from 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held in the Chapel at St. Joseph's Villa, 56 Governor's Road, Dundas on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 2 p.m. Interment at Lincoln Memorial Park, Portland, Oregon. If so desired, donations to a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
