Arthur Joseph KING

KING, Arthur Joseph "Jay" Bell Island, Newfoundland Jay suffered a stroke and passed away October 3rd, 2007 in his 67th year. He is survived by his mother Kathleen King (nee Dawe) and predeceased by his father Arthur Joseph King. Jay also leaves behind his wife Barbara Kelly, his son Jeffrey King and his daughter-in-law Stephanie Pomery. He will be sadly missed by siblings: Bill, Chris, George, Jim, Francis, Dale, Mary Parsons, Marie Perry and Catherine Rideout . Jay's life work and passion was cars. Prior to his retirment he owned and operated a number of automotive shops on Breezehill, Gladstone, and Donald Streets. He was a hard worker till the end and a decorated power lifter in his prime. He was a hard man yet he had a soft spot for kids and animals. In keeping with Jay's character there will be a Memorial to celebrate his life on Saturday, October 13th, 2007 at his favourite restaurant, Buffet Yangming, 1547 Merivale Road at 1 p.m. Friends, family and acquaintances are welcome to stop by to pay their respects or to join us for a meal filled with the sharing of fond memories.
