AVIS DE DÉCÈS JOHN GRÉGOIRE Le 7 octobre 2007, John Grégoire de Hawkesbury, Ontario, est décédé à l'Hôpital Général de Hawkesbury, fils de Elaine Presley-Grégoire de Buckingham, Québec et de feu Rév. Rolland A. Grégoire. Il laisse sa tendre et dévouée épouse Monique Labelle; un frère, Roland J., marié à Linda Cornell d'Osgoode, Ontario; ses neveux: Roland A., marié à Emily Cook et Matthew d'Osgoode, Ontario. John est venu enseigner au Vankleek Hill Public School en 1996. Jusqu'à sa retraite, il enseigna à l'école Pleasant Corners Public School de Vankleek Hill. Durant sa carrière, il remettait des Dollars du Centenaire du Canada à plusieurs étudiants et autres personnes qui s'étaient démarqués par leur contribution ou effort. Les étudiants qui démontraient une amélioration étaient remarqués par John. Tout au long de leur retraite, John et Monique aimaient particulièrement faire des recherches de Titre d'enregistrement de propriété dans nos comtés de Prescott-Russell, pour plusieurs de ses anciens élèves et ami(e)s qui démontraient un intérêt dans l'histoire de leur propriété. John aimait bien passer beaucoup de temps sur la propriété familiale au Lac McGregor de Val-des-Monts, Québec. Le lac et ses bordures, les champs et les boisés lui donnaient une grande et belle occasion de profiter de la nature qu'il aimait tant. La direction des funérailles a été confiée au Salon Funéraire Berthiaume Ltée 416, rue McGill, Hawkesbury, Ontario, 877-632-8511. Les obsèques auront lieu en l'église Unie de Thurso, Québec, le samedi 13 octobre 2007 à 14h. La famille sera présente à l'église à compter de 13h pour recevoir vos condoléances. Inhumation au cimetière St-Andrew localisé sur av. Buckingham, Buckingham, Québec. Son of Elaine Presley-Gregoire of Buckingham, PQ. and the late Rev. Rolland A. Gregoire. He leaves his loving and devoted wife Monique Labelle, one brother Roland J. married to Linda Cornell of Osgoode, ON, nephews Roland A. married to Emily Cook of Winchester and Matthew of Osgoode, ON. John moved to teach at Vankleek Hill Public School in 1966. Until his retirement he taught at Pleasant Corners Public School in Vankleek Hill. During his career, he enjoyed awarding Centennial Dollar Bills to many students and people for special achievements. Students who had showed improvement were of particular interest. During his retirement John and Monique enjoyed doing land registry searches in Prescott County for former students and friends who had shown interest in the history of their property. During his life John enjoyed spending time at the family property at McGregor Lake, Val-des-Monts, Quebec. The lake, shoreline, woods and fields provided him with many interesting opportunities to enjoy nature. The funeral service will take place on Saturday October 13, 2007, at 2:00 pm at the Thurso United Church, 161 Fraser St., Thurso, PQ. The family will be at the church for 1:00 pm. Interment will follow the service at St-Andrew's Cemetery, Buckingham, PQ.
