GILCHRIST, Betty Born Betty Strangways-Bennett in Dorset, England, died in Ottawa on October 5, 2007 at the age of 94 after a long and interesting life as a civilian pilot and war-bride. Devoted mother of Carol Henderson (John) and much-loved grandmother of David, Robert (Federica), and Julia. Her family wish to thank all the staff at Bronson Place for their kindness and understanding in helping to bring contentment and dignity to Betty's concluding years. Cremation has taken place and is to be followed by Interment at the Parish Church of St. Osmond, Melbury Osmond, Dorset, England. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome for the Glebe Centre.
