OBITUARY ERNEST ARTHUR WENSLEY 1942 - 2007 It is with deep sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Ernie at home on Wednesday, October 3, 2007, in his sixty-fifth year. Left to mourn are his loving and devoted wife of forty years, Marilyn (March), cherished children Terri and Neil (Jennifer) and apple of his eye, sweet granddaughter Isabella. Brother to Stan and the late Muriel, and uncle to many loving nieces and nephews. Ernie will be missed by many friends who showed so much kindness and concern over the past seven months while he was coping with his courageous battle. Ernie was born in Verdun, Quebec to his parents James and Ethel Wensley. He was an avid outdoorsman who grew up hunting and fishing on the St. Lawrence River. He passed along his love of the water and value of the nature to his children. Ernie joined Ross Whitehead in 1961 in the shipping room, became president in 1983, and owner in 1988. He held several positions with the textile Society of Canada. He was respected and well known in the industry. A celebration of his life and spirit will be held at the Candiac Community Center, 135 Handel Street, Candiac on Saturday, October 13 at 2 p.m., with a reception to follow.
