NEUGEBAUER, Robynne Susan, PhD. Beloved wife, soul mate, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, author, professor, and mentor to many students, passed away suddenly at the age of 47 on Sept. 8, 2007. Robynne was a gifted and passionate teacher and scholar who focused on social justice issues. In her teaching she showed her students why learning about the problems of society was necessary, and how they could work to change those problems. Cheerful, vibrant, sensitive, and warm, Robynne always had a sparkle in her eyes and a smile that would light up a room. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and greatly admired by colleagues, students and others whose lives she touched. She is survived by her husband, Fareed Khan, her father Henry, her brother Mark, as well as several nieces and nephews. An Ottawa memorial service will be held in Paterson Hall at Carleton University on Friday, October 19 at 3:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to the following scholarships being set up in Robynne's name.
