Nelson (Wilfred) Gallant March 09, 1931 - October 01, 2000 Peacefully after a brief illness, at the Hamilton General Hospital, on Sunday, October 1st, 2000, in his 70th year. Beloved husband of Patricia Black. Dear father of Ron, Dianne, Debbie, Steve and his wife Amy, Donna and her husband Dominic Sgro and their mother Susan Spencer; Sean Lodge, Willy, Alex, Joanne and their mother Teresa Lodge. Dear step father of Noel, Sean and Frances. Dear brother of Janette, Aileen, Ann, Desmond, Ivan, Maria, Lornie, Julie, Linda and the late Edward, Ernest and Leonard. Loving grandfather of 18 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren. Nelson will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Wes Oczkowski and the nursing staff of 7 South for their kindness and understanding. Nelson was a member of the Army and Navy Veterans Society. Visitation at the FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St. E (near James), Wednesday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Vigil Prayers Wednesday 8:30 p.m. Funeral Mass Thursday 10:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
