Phyllis Charters (née Donald) August 28, 1924 - December 06, 2000 Funeral arrangements by Dodsworth & Brown Funeral Home (Ancaster Chapel) After a courageous fight with cancer passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2000. Beloved wife of Alex Charters and dearest mother of Susan and husband Jim Downey. Predeceased by son Robert. Grandmother to Andrew and Sarah. Survived by her sister Diane and husband Robert Berg and sisters-in-law Helen Charters and Margaret Donald and their families. Predeceased by her brother Lewis Donald. Phyllis was a member of the Women's Canadian Club, long time volunteer of St. Joseph’s Hospital and long time employee of the Hamilton the Board of Education. Friends will be received at DODSWORTH & BROWN Funeral Home ANCASTER CHAPEL, 378 Wilson Street East, Saturday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Memorial Service to be held in the Ancaster Chapel Sunday at 4:30 p.m. Cremation has taken place.
