Michael Anthony Meredith November 23, 1940 - January 13, 2001 Funeral arrangements by Sherrin Funeral Home Peacefully on January 13th, 2001 at the Toronto East General Hospital in his 61st year. Michael, dearly loved husband and best friend of Stephanie. Loving son of Rose and the late Jack Meredith and son-in-law of Margaret and the late Victor Christie. Brother in law of Ann and Alan Christie. Mentor and role model to many students during his long teaching career as a physical and health education teacher at Don Mills Jr. High School, Milneford Jr. High School and Windfields Jr. High School. His love of running inspired him to run the Boston Marathon 18 times. Mike was an inspiration to all who knew him and will be loving remembered by many dear friends. Friends will be received at the SHERRIN FUNERAL HOME, 873 Kingston Road, Toronto (west of Victoria Park Ave.) (416-698-2861) on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Brigid’s Roman Catholic Church, 300 Wolverleigh Blvd., on Wednesday, January 17, 2001 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation Highland Memory Gardens. Memorial tributes may be made to the Oncology Clinic at the Toronto East General Hospital, Wellspring or to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Mike.
