IVEY, DANIEL ROLAND It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Daniel Roland Ivey who passed away peacefully at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital on October 14th, 2007 after a short but very courageous battle with cancer. Dan is survived by one daughter, Michelle and her husband, Graham MacDonald (Fredericton). He is also survived by his mother, Miriam Ivey of Woodstock; two sisters, Bessie (Carl) Harper of Woodstock & and Barb (John) Watt of Ontario. Dan is also survived by his nieces and nephews, cousins and aunts and uncles. Dan is predeceased by his father, Roland Ivey. He is also survived by his much loved pets, Jake his dog, and Ooshie his cat, who will both miss him very much; He also leaves behind his best friend, Letitia O'Donnell. Dan was an employee of NB Liquor, working at the Devon Liquor Store and more recently, the Smythe Street Liquor Store. He enjoyed sharing his knowledge of wine with anyone who asked and loved his job very much. Dan was a graduate of UNB and belonged to the New Brunswick Liberal Association and the New Brunswick Welsh Society. Besides work, Dan enjoyed going for drives with his family and was a regular at the Saturday morning market, and was often seen attending the plays at TNB. He was an avid campaigner for the New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Association and the Canadian Cancer Society and therefore donations are being asked to be given to either charity or a charity of the donors choice. A special thank you to the nursing staff of 4 South-East at the D.E.C.R.H., Dr. Ian MacDonald and Dr. Jennifer Dejong for your caring and compassionate way during this difficult time. Thank you also to our friends and family for your support, prayers and the food dropped off to us during the past 6 weeks. Although there will be no visitation at Dan's request, a memorial service will be held at York Funeral Home's T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel, on Wednesday at 11am.
