Edward Peter Menzul March 01, 1949 - October 14, 2007 It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the sudden and unexpected passing of our most beloved husband, father, gigi, and brother Edward. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife Ruth with whom he spent 38 treasured years. Edward will also be remembered by his son Curtis, daughter Shawna (Brad) granddaughters Emma and Neveah, sister Olga Butz (Pat), three nieces and many great nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by many family members and friends. Edward was preceded by his parents Peter and Jessie. Dad worked for Manitoba Hydro for 39 years. Through out his career he held a number of positions and made many lifelong friends. Dad took pleasure in fishing, camping, golfing, and tinkering in the garage. In the last few years he developed a new passion which was spending time with his two precious granddaughters. Dad was kindhearted with a great sense of humor and always willing to lend a helping hand. Prayers will be held in the chapel at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday October 18, 2007 at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday October 19, 2007 at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. A gathering of family and friends will be held in the Glen Eden Reception Centre. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made in his memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301- 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3B 2H8.
