COOPER, Dr. Edward Lawrence - Employee 29 years Atomic Energy of Canada Nuclear Research Scientist Graduated 1970 and received Ph.D for Nuclear Chemistry in 1977 from University of Waterloo Awarded two AECL Discovery Awards Internationally recognized for his expertise including his work with the IAEA after the Chernobyl Disaster. Unexpectedly; at home on Sunday, October 28, 2007. Dr. Edward Cooper, age 60 years. beloved husband of Betty Cooper (Kalbfleisch) of Deep River. Loving father of Debbie Cooper and her husband Gilles Pepin Jr. of Kingston and Andy Cooper and his friend Jenny Montgomery of Guelph. Predeceased by his parents the late Jack and Marie Cooper. Dear brother of David Cooper of Point Clarke; Dr. Stephen Cooper and wife June of Calgary; John Cooper and Joan Wild of Lively; and Mark Cooper of Kitchener. Cherished uncle of Several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the VALLEY FUNERAL HOME, Deep River on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A memorial mass will be celebrated in Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Deep River on Thursday at 11:00 am.
