McAVOY, Mary Effie (nee MacLeod) - Peacefully with her husband and oldest son at her side, at 12:45 p.m., on Monday October 29th, at Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Born March 2, 1921 at Moose Creek, Ontario. Well loved and respected by all who knew her, she will be greatly missed for her kindness, generosity, sense of humour and curiosity about the world around her. Mary is survived by Hubert James, her husband of 60 years, hers sons Roderick and Ian and daughter-in-law Faye, her sister Margaret and brother-in-law Bob, sisters-in-law Cynthia, Rose, Gloria and Beth, and nieces and nephews Allan, Carolyn, David, Donald, Fraser, Heather, John, Maureen, Ruth and Scott. Family will received friends at COUTTS FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 96 St. Andrew's St., Cambridge, on Friday November 2, 2007 from 2-4 & 7-8:30 p.m., followed by a private family service and cremation. A Memorial Service will be conducted at St. Luke's United Church, 1620 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Saturday November 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada, the St. Luke's Place Foundation or the Cambridge Shelter Corporation. 10884839
