DENIS, Shirley (nee Dobson) - Beloved wife of 53 years to Chuck (Joseph) Denis, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family, at home in Kingston, Ontario, on Monday, November 5, 2007. She is survived by her husband Joseph, daughters Sheri Bellerose (Steve) and Laura of Edmonton and son David (Lisa) of Burlington. Also survived by 6 granddaughters, Ciara, Brigid and Maeve Kane-Denis and Katelyn, Jennaye and Grace Bellerose. One brother and three sisters previously deceased. One surviving sister Patricia Pacuta (John) of Windsor. A very special thank you to Dr. Patey for his compassion and generosity of care. Also many thanks to her awesome palliative care nurses Richard, Andrew, Tracy and Amy, and the wonderful respite care workers from Paramed. Thank you to Dr. Meliva, Dr. Gregg and the IVR staff at the Kingston General Hospital. Resting at the James Reid Funeral Home, Cataraqui Chapel (1900 John Counter Boulevard) on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. with Rosary lead by Father T.F. Shea after 8:30 p.m. Funeral Saturday, November 10, 2007 for Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 950 Old Kingston Mills Road at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. The family invites everyone to a reception following the Funeral Mass at Raby House, next to the church. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers, donations made to Hospice Kingston or to the University Hospitals Kingston Foundation (Cancer Center of SE Ontario at KGH) would be appreciated by the family.
