IRVING, Joan (nee Mervyn) - In loving memory of Joan Irving (nee Mervyn), 65 years, who passed away at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph's Health Centre on Monday, October 22nd, 2007. Beloved wife of Tom Irving of Sudbury. Loving mother of Kimberly Irving of Sudbury, Scott (wife Sheri) of Prince George, B.C., Kevin of Kingston and Robert (wife Sheri) of Guelph. Cherished grandmother of Shawn, Chantelle, Tyson and Courtney. Also survived by her sisters Edith Reid (husband Patrick) of Winnipeg and Lois Morin (husband Keith) of Sudbury. Predeceased by her parents Howard and Frances, her brothers Sandy and Jim Mervyn (surviving wife Lyla of Little Current) and her sisters Laura Murray (surviving husband Larry of Sudbury) and Gloria Noakes. Will also be missed by her K-9 friend Barney (a.k.a. Mom's Man). Joan was born at Barry Island on September 21, 1942. For 25 years she worked as a health care aid at Extendicare Falconbridge, retiring in 2002. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Service in the R.J. Barnard Chapel on Thursday, October 25th, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Cremation to follow at Park Lawn Crematorium. Donations to St. Joseph's Health Center (I.C.U. Department) would be greatly appreciated.
