MULLEN, Douglas John - In loving memory of Douglas John Mullen, 67 years of Garson who passed away Monday, October 22nd, 2007 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - Laurentian Site. He married Merle (Scott) in Sudbury in 1976. Douglas had been a mill operator at Dennison Mines for 16 years retiring in 1994. He was a passionate and loyal Toronto Maple Leafs' fan. He enjoyed playing cards and reading western novels. Doug has a wonderful sense of humour earning him the name “Doug Letterman“. He was fondly called Pappa by all who knew him. He was devoted to his loving family. Beloved husband of Merle (Scott) Mullen predeceased 1987. Loving father of Laurie Eisenhour (husband Lyle), Kelly Storey and Tracey Tiffin (husband Troy). Cherished grandfather of Ashley, Jaydaleigh, and Shayne; great grandchildren Izayah and Jonah. Special brother-in-law and best friend to Christina Bouchard (husband Norman predeceased 2004). Dear son of Frank and Beatrice Mullen predeceased. Dear brother of Lawrence (Anna), Dorothy Raymond, Lois Dawson, Rev. Sister Norah Mullen (CSJ), and Betty McClyment (Dave); predeceased by Patrick, Francis, Michael, Gordon and Garry Mullen and Beatrice Monaghan. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. Resting at the JACKSON AND BARNARD FUNERAL HOME, 233 Larch St., Sudbury. Funeral Prayers in the R.J. Barnard Chapel Thursday, October 25th, 2007 at 1 p.m. Cremation with interment in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery. Donations to Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Center would be appreciated.
