ALLEN, Mervin Roy - Suddenly at his home in Chisholm Township, Powassan on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in his 68th year. Mervin was the beloved father of Carl Allen of Restoule and Marlene Long (Greg) of Shelburne and grandfather of Matthew, Bradley, Jeff & Becky. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Allen of North Bay. Merv was the dear brother of Marjorie Cudney of Mount Forest, Ruth Wiseman of Orangeville, Gerald Allen of Violet Hill and James Allen of Owen Sound. He was predeceased by his sister Gloria Rutledge. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at the DONEY FUNERAL HOME, Shelburne on Friday, November 9, 2007 from 10 to 11:30 a.m. A Memorial Service will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Doney Funeral Home Chapel. Interment of Ashes will follow at Shelburne Cemetery. If desired, Memorial Donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario would be greatly appreciated by the Allen Family.
