PICKERING, Donald Robert - At the Brantford General Hospital on Thursday, November 1, 2007 in his 82nd year, Donald Robert Pickering. Beloved husband of the late Joyce “Peach“ for 51 years. Loved father of the late Brian Pickering (2004), Lance “Lanny“ and his wife Debbie of Dorchester, Darryl of Copenhagen, and Jeff (Joann) of Brantford. Loving grandfather of Tamara (Kevin), and Kelly (Dan), and 6 great-grandchildren, Krista, Dylan, Ryan, Chase, Madison and Abigail. Mr. Pickering served with the Royal Canadian Army in the Second World War. The family will receive friends at McCLEISTER FUNERAL HOME, 495 Park Rd. N. on Monday from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Funeral service will be in the chapel on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. followed by interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery. A reception in the hospitality suite will follow interment. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society gratefully appreciated.
