WHITEHEAD, Rose Marie - Peacefully at the Brantford General Hospital, on Wednesday November 7, 2007. Rose (nee Jarman) was born February 18,1913 daughter of William and Clara Jarman; Predeceased in 1995 by her husband of 60 years John Ivan; Beloved “mom“ of Connie & Mac Gerner, William, Patricia & Ken Logel, Linda Townsend; Loved Grandma of 18 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter; Rose was a member of Holy Trinity Church, Burford. She served as Sunday School teacher, choir member and 30 years as organist and also president of the A.C.W. She was in Girl Guides for 30 years as Brown Owl, Captain, Commissioner and Camp Quartermaster. She served as the 1st president of Burford Home & School Association, She played in the Burford Euchre/Bridge Clubs for many years. She was a member of the Eastern Star and PM of the Burford Chapter. Rose resided in Burford for many years but spent the last six years at Tranquility Place in Brantford both as resident & volunteer. Friends will be received at the KEITH OVINGTON FUNERAL HOME, 134 King Street, Burford on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11 a.m. with Rev.Larry Brown officiating. Interment Holy Trinity Cemetery, Burford. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Rose's memory may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Holy Trinity Church, Canadian Diabetes, Brantford General Hospital or the charity of your choice.
