SHANNON, Valentine “Val“ - Mrs. Valentine Shannon at the Janet MacDonell Pavilion on Thursday October 11, 2007 at the age of 72 years. Beloved wife of the late Harvey Shannon. Loved mother of Maureen Coughlin (Tim), Windsor; Janet Locke (Don), Saskatoon; Colleen Lawrie (Craig), Kingston; and Raymond Shannon (Susan) of Stittsville. Sadly missed by her 10 grandchildren John, Claire, Mary, Jessica, Christopher, Alex, Patrick, Noah, Matthew, and Liam. Loved daughter of the late Archibald and Isobel (Barrett) Adams. Dear sister of Dr. Barry Adams (Betty-Ann), Ottawa; Patricia Lougheed (Allan), Florida; Carol Papps (Vinton), Joan Kuhn (Art), both of Cornwall; Debbie Zabloski (Rick), Brockville; and Gail Blackadder (Earl), Stevensville, Ontario. Also survived by her sister-in-law Annie Adams, brother-in-law Vincent Redmond, both of Cornwall; and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by one brother Ronald J. Adams, and one sister Shirley Redmond. Resting at the WILSON FUNERAL HOME 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall from 7 PM Saturday October 13th. The Mass of the Resurrection with Commendation and Farewell will be celebrated in St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Monday October 15, 2007 at 10:30 AM. Rite of Commmittal to follow in St. Columban's Parish Cemetery, Cornwall. Visitation Saturday 7-9 PM, Sunday 2-4 & 7-9 PM, Monday 9-9:45 AM.
