CARRIGAN, Marguerite (Bateson) - Passed away peacefully on the 26th day of October, 2007 at the age of 78, after a long battle with osteoporosis that she fought with dignity, courage and a sense of humour. Marguerite was a much loved daughter, an adored wife, a loving mother and faithful friend to all who were privileged to know her. Marg was a proud member of the A.Y. Girls' Club. She married the love of her life, Fred Carrigan, on September 16, 1950 and together started a family. Loving mother of Wayne (Debbie), Michael (Theresa), Gail (David) and Greg. Proud grandmother of Jeremy (Lisa) Carrigan, Sarah (Conrad) Seymour, Jennifer Carrigan and Melanie Carrigan. Great-grandmother to Alyssa Carrigan and Hannah Seymour. Marguerite's family will receive friends at the H.L. CUDNEY FUNERAL HOME, 241 West Main Street, Welland on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A private family service will be held Tuesday with cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy a donation to your favourite children's charity would be greatly appreciated by the family.
