McDOWELL, Robert (Bob) James - Passed away at the Southlake Regional Health Centre on Monday October 29, 2007 in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Marie McDowell (nee Hensen). Dear father of Donna of Barrie and Jim of Prince George, B.C. Loving Grampa to Kristina of Collingwood. Bob was a World War II Veteran, a retiree of Ideal Supply Ltd. He was a current member of Parkview Senior Centre, where he ran the Friday afternoon Bridge Club. Bob was a man of Honesty, Integrity and Compassion and enjoyed anything involving family and friends. Although he has reached the end of his journey, he will never leave our hearts. Special thanks to Michelle and the staff at Southlake, their care and compassion will never be forgotten. Friends are welcome at a Memorial Drop In being held Thursday November 1st, 2007 between 1:00 and 3:30 pm at the Sheba Shrine Hall, 142 John Street, at the corner of Anne Street in Barrie.
