SCALZO, Maria Giuseppa - Passed away peacefully on November 1, 2007 at the Port Colborne Hospital in her 94th year. Dearly loved mother of Rosa and her husband Pietro Greco, Salvatore (Sam) and his wife Rosa, Giuseppina and her husband Joe Porcino, Felicina and her husband Camillio DeDonatis all of Port Colborne, Tom and his wife Sharon of Welland and Maria and her husband Peppino Paonessa of Italy. She will be sadly missed by 18 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of Maria Rosa and her late husband Vince Tavano, Guiseppina and husband Domenico Tavano, Giuseppe Paone and his wife Angela all of Port Colborne, and Maria and her husband Domenico Gigliotti of Italy. Predeceased by her parents Felice and Maria Domenica Paone, her husband Pietro Scalzo, her sister Felice Paone, and her grandson Guy DeDonatis. The family will receive friends at the ARMSTRONG FUNERAL HOME, 179 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held Friday at 3:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Therese of Lisieux R.C. Church at 11:00 a.m. with Father Bill Derousie as celebrant. Rite of Committal to follow at Mount St. Joseph Cemetery.
