MERTES, Mildred 'Millie' - Suddenly at the General Hospital on Sunday, November 4, 2007 at the age of 75 years. Beloved wife of the late Jack Mertes. Loving mother of Judy Miller (Herb), Jim Mertes (Lynda), Liz Summers (Doug) and John Mertes (Wanda). Loving Baba of Jake, Jude, D.J., Nathan, Mitchell, Matthew, Samantha and Sean. Sister of the late Jim Gowan, Peggy Flanagan (Tom), Maureen Johnstone (late Bill), Tim Gowan (Bonnie) and Michael Gowan (Denise). Sister-in-law of Gerry Mertes (Mary) and Don Mertes (Barb). Cherished by her many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Millie will be fondly remembered by the many people she touched through her teaching career, her compassion for friends, her unlimited support and acceptance of others. Millie is an inspiration to us all and a constant reminder to love and cherish one another.
