KARASSIK, Betty (nee Bordo). Peacefully with dignity on Monday, October 15, 2007. Beloved wife of Irving for sixty-seven years. Devoted mother and mother-in-law of Steven and Emily (Ginsberg), Fred and Debbie (Shuchat). Cherished grandma of Jesse and Sunny, Laura and Chris, Jeremy, and Neil. Dearest sister and sister-in-law of Pearl and the late Murray Lapin and predeceased by her siblings Sarah, Joe, Charlie, Ida, Rose, Irving and Al. Sister-in-law of Margie and the late Boris Karassik, Charlotte and the late Leo Karassik, the late Anne Seidman, the late Ivy Echouse. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, family and dear friends. The family would like to acknowledge with their deepest gratitude the doctors, nurses and staff of 4 West, Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional and loving care. Funeral service from Paperman and Sons, 3888 Jean Talon W. on Thursday, October 18 at 1 p.m. Burial at the Beth Ora Congregation Section, Kehal Israel Cemetery, D.D.O. Shiva private.
