EDWARDS, Denyse (nee Mantha). It is with profound sorrow that we announce her passing on October 16, 2007 at the age of eighty-three in Greenfield Park, Quebec. She passed away with dignity surrounded by her family after a valiant struggle with cancer. Beloved wife of the late Alfred Edwards. Loving mother of Wayne (Jocelyne), Diane Phillips (Rodger), Michael (Trina), Carol Cortenbach (John). Loving grandmother of Jennifer Bates (Henry), Andrea Diakopoulos (Nick), Ryan Phillips (Arsho), Jeffrey Edwards, Carolyn Patrick (Ryan) and Kathleen Edwards, Scott and John James Cortenbach. Great-grandmother to her "boys", Jonathan and Jason Diakopolous and Jordan Bates. Loving sister of Carmen Legault (Ronald "Pete"). Predeceased by brothers Sylvio Mantha, (Imelda) and Georges Mantha, and sisters, Lucille Blondin (Lucien), Marguerite Paquette (Lucien), Jeannette Chollette (Benoit), Marie Casey (Edward). Dear sister-in-law of Hubert Maloley (the late Marguerite), Kathleen and Edward Roberts. Predeceased by sister-in-law Denise Armstrong (the late Donald) and brother-in-law Gordon Edwards (Maureen). She will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews, in particular Ginette Casey (London, England).
