BOSS, G. William In hospital in Ottawa on Wednesday, October 17th, 2007 G. William Boss at the age of 90. Mr. Boss was retired from the Public Relations Department of the University of Ottawa, he was known throughout Canada for his work as a war correspondent during WWII and the Korean War and was a member ot the Canadian News Hall of Fame. William is survived by his mutual friend Mahinda Polgolla of Bedford Mills, William's brothers Raymond (Sheila) and Mark (Marina) Boss, his great nieces and nephews Kristine (Robert) Burr and their children William and David, Karen (George) Jacob, Carmen (Frank) Priester and their children Sean and Matthew Cunningham, Kenneth (Carol) Boss, Odette Plain and her children Dylan and Wyatt Plain, his neighbours Sue and Jack Patton, many friends and colleagues. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, 15 Gore St W., Perth, Saturday, October 20th from 11:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. A Buddhist Prayer Service will be held at 12:30 p.m. followed by a Roman Catholic Prayer Service at 1:00 p.m. A reception will then be held in the Blair & Son Family Centre; interment will then follow in St. Edward's Parish Cemetery, Westport.
