Edgar Parsons BRIDGLAND

BRIDGLAND, Edgar Parsons Peacefully at the Ottawa General Hospital on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of the late Kathleen (nee Kelley). Loving father of Peggy, James and Janet. Cherished grandfather of Zoe (Daniel), Michael, Kathryn and great grandfather of Molly, and Norah. Predeceased by his brother Charles. Dear uncle of Carole and her daughter Nicki. He will be fondly remembered by the Kelley family. Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Ed graduated from the University of Toronto in Engineering Physics and joined the R.C.A.F. in 1941. While doing graduate studies at California Institute of Technology in 1942-43, he met and married his dear wife Kathleen. After retiring from the Armed Forces in 1972, he continued working in field of aeronautics, first for Transport Canada and then as a consultant. Longtime member of the Ottawa Hunt & Golf Club. A gentle soul and valued friend, Ed was respected by all who knew him. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Tuesday, October 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Wednesday, October 24 at 1 p.m. For those who wish, memorial donations to the charity of their choice would be appreciated.
