Helen Mary MACKEY

SHERIDAN, Helen Mary (nee Mackey) Born November 8, 1926 in Iroquois Falls, Ontario, died peacefully at home on October 23, 2007 of lung cancer. Beloved wife of John Sheridan for 41 years. Loving mother of Frances (Mike Sander), Michael and Patrick (Zahra). Loving grandmother of Marissa and Dylan Sheridan. Helen will also be greatly missed by her brothers Terry Mackey (Chris) and Fr. Larry Mackey O.M.I.; and by her sister-in-law Sr. Mary Sheridan. Helen was a long time member of the Catholic Women's League and a volunteer at St. Patrick's Home, Ottawa. She also belonged to a senior's bowling league and a few bridge clubs. Friends may pay their respects at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road (at Albion), on Friday, October 26 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass Saturday, October 27 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 1720 St. Bernard Ave followed by interment at Capital Memorial Gardens. Special thanks to the Ottawa Hospital Cancer Centre, Ottawa CCAC, Dr. Coulombe and the nurses who cared for her so skillfully.
