STEAD, Dorothy J. Peacefully in hospital in Perth on Friday, October 26th, 2007 Dorothy Jane (Reid) Stead in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of Earl Stead of Hopetown, married for 56 years on October 27th. Loved mother of Glenn (Diane) Stead of Hopetown and Brian (Nancy) Stead of Almonte. Cherished grandmother of Krista (Michael) Mackler, Ryan, Kasey and Paul Stead and Tanya, Karen and David McDougall; great grandmother of Kaylee Mackler. Dear sister of Elmer (Susan) Reid, Helen (Ross) Campbell, Robert (MaryLou) Reid, Lila (William) Darou and Lilias (Percy) Sweeney. She will be fondly remembered by her sisters and brothers-in-law Kaye (late Frank) and Harold (Lilias) Stead, Mildred (Welly) Munro and Leonard (Helen) Stead all of the Lanark and Hopetown area. She will be sadly missed by her nieces, nephews, all her family, friends and Hopetown neighbours. Friends may pay their respects at the Blair & Son Funeral Home, Perth on Saturday, October 27th, 2007 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Funeral service will be held on Sunday in Trinity United Church, Hopetown at 2:00 P.M. Interment, Hopetown Cemetery.
