Anthony V. HALL

HALL, Anthony V. 1920 - 2007 Unexpectedly, on Friday, October 26, 2007, in hospital surrounded by his loving family. Tony was the beloved husband of Laurel (Argue), cherished father of Diana and Jana (Del MacMillan), devoted grandfather and special friend of Nancy (Chad Mariage). Dear brother-in-law of Ruth (Argue). For the past 10 months, Jana and Del were privileged to have Tony in their family home, with Nancy as his wonderful caregiver. Laurel, Diana, Del, Ruth, Chad and Lynne were always willing to lend a helping hand. Tony served in the Royal Air Force during World War II in England and Phoenix, Arizona, where he met and married Laurel in 1944. After immigrating to Canada in 1947, Tony worked for the Department of National Defence and the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada. On retirement, he founded the Ottawa Valley Clock Service, repairing and restoring antique clocks. Tony was widely known as the "Tic Toc Doc". He was a long-time member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors, Inc. Many thanks to Avan and Cecilia for their loving care. Special thanks to Dr. Barry Bruce for his extraordinary care and to the West Carleton Medical Centre staff for their kindness. Friends may call at the Garden Chapel of Tubman Funeral Homes, 3440 Richmond Road (between Bayshore and Baseline Road), Nepean, on Thursday, November 1 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. A service will be held in the chapel on Friday at 2 p.m. Interment at the Huntley United Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
