Gino POZZO

Pozzo: Gino 1922 - 2005 Mr. Gino Pozzo passed away at the Drumheller Regional Health Complex on October 22, 2005. Born on April 14, 1922, he leaves to celebrate his life and keep him in memory; daughter Brenda (and Mac) Jones of Drumheller; sons, Roger (Nancy, Willie and Lisa) of Medicine Hat, Ronald, Richard (Kimberley, Natalie and Joel), and Barry of Drumheller. He was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly in 1990, and his wife, Luby in 1998. Mr. Pozzo is also survived by a brother, Charlie (and Stella) of Brooks, as well as many nieces and nephews. Mr. Pozzo would always be seen riding his bike in most any direction out of the Valley, often wearing his flower bedecked straw hat, and often accompanied by his 'fleet' of dogs, scouting the roadsides for any items of interest just to get out and enjoy the fresh air. His hobbies included working on and fixing bicycles, and his vegetable garden was second to none, where he'd spend countless hours, babying his garden and greenhouse. He was well known for his sunny disposition, his optimism and his willingness to help everyone in his neighborhood. A private family service will be held with Courtney-Winter's Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and/or S.T.A.R.S.
