BASAROWICK: Joe 1914 - 2006 Joe Basarowick, born July 27, 1914 at Whitemouth, Manitoba passed away April 15, 2006 at Hanna Continuing Care in Hanna Alberta after a long courageous battle with cancer. Joe was a resident of the Drumheller Valley for more than 50 years. He was a heavy duty mechanic at Turner Equipment in the 50's, Double A Farm Equipment in the 60’s and for 15 years with Pallisen Equipment. For 11 years, until his retirement in 1980 he worked maintaining graders for the County of Wheatland. He will be sadly missed by his son Roger of Cloverdale, BC; grandchildren Benjamin, Naomi, Heidi, Martha, Joseph, Sarah (Jason) and Aaron; two great grandchildren Kansas and Nova; one brother Nick in Minn. and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joe was predeceased by his wife Martha in 1979, two sisters Nellie and Tina in 1984, and sister Carrie and brother Stan in 2004. A Graveside Service will be held at the Drumheller Cemetery on Friday, April 28, 2006 at 2:00 PM. No flowers please. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
