Alvina Margaret RENN

Bertsch-Weigum: Alvina Margaret 1912-2007 Alvina Weigum passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on February 1, 2007 at the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre where she spent her last 15 months. She was born May 25, 1912. In 1933 she married Arthur Bertsch of Rosebud, AB. He passed away in November 1966. Then in 1974 she married Geo Weigum of Wimborne, AB. He passed away March 2003. She is survived by her 2 sons; Ronald (Vivian) Bertsch of Drumheller and Llewellyn (Joyce) Bertsch of Edmonton. She has six grandchildren; Dawn (Rob) Bancroft, Cameron (Deanne) Bertsch, Brent (Jennifer) Bertsch, Jason Bertsch, Carmen (Dwight) Blade and Blaine (Heather) Bertsch and 10 great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving child of Fred and Barbara Renn. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at the Drumheller Alliance Church. In memory of Alvina, donations can be made to the Drumheller Continuing Care Centre, 351-9th Street N.W., Drumheller, AB, T0J 0Y1 or a charity of one’s choice.
