MADSEN: Edesse Marie Edesse Marie Madsen, beloved wife of Niels (Bob) Madsen of Drumheler, passed away peacefully, on July 17, 2007 at the Drumheller Health Complex at the age of 92. She is survived by her sister, Yolande Crory of Drayton Valley and brother Gerald (Jeannette) Rougeau of Innisfail. She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Lucina Rougeau, brothers René Rougeau and Armand Rougeau. Edesse will be lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Elene Montgomery of Rosedale and Eleanora (Bill) Vogt of Picture Butte. She was adored by and has a special place in the heart of many nieces and nephews. Edesse was born in 1915 in Quebec. Her family moved to Hussar, AB, where Edesse spent her childhood in the farming community. In 1963 she and Bob Madsen were married and continued to farm just north of Hussar until 1972 when they retired to Drumheller. Over the years Edesse enjoyed entertaining, camping and keeping in touch with family. Edesse also touched the lives of all who had the opportunity to know her. She will be forever remembered for the smile on her face and the twinkle in her eyes.
