CHADWICK, William Arthur - The family of Bill Chadwick is sad to announce his passing on Friday, November 9th, 2007 in his 93rd year. He lived a full and interesting life with dignity and honour. He died with his family at his bedside with much dignity, honour and respect. Bill is the father of Heather Thompson and her husband Guy of Peterborough, Ontario, Harley Chadwick and his wife Constance Couch of Kingston, Ontario and Audrey MacDougall and her husband Gary of Yellowknife, N.W.T. Grand Dad of Niall Davidson and his wife Leigh Trusler, Colin Davidson and his wife Martha, Haley Chadwick, Debbi Small, Karla Reid, Kelsey, Ian and Alexander MacDougall. Great grandfather of Benjamin, Noah, Sadie, Megan, Kyle, Tyler, Haley, Dalton, Quinton, Parker and Angelina. Friend of Myra Rose Chadwick. Predeceased by parents John Chamberlain Chadwick and Florence MacArthur and brothers John Chadwick and Arnold Chadwick. Uncle of Colette Squires and her husband David of Abbotsford B.C., Carol Holmes and her husband Paul of Airdrie, Alberta, Manya Chadwick and her husband Pierre Mineau of Ottawa and Howard Chadwick and his wife Sue of Laguna Nigel, California. Veteran of World War II, serving with the R.C.A.F. as a Navigation Officer. Retired Chemical Engineer with Imperial Oil/Texaco after 33 years of service. Bill was a Principal and taught school on the prairies before the war. Bill was an ardent downhill skier into his 89th year, an accomplished square dancer and instructor and ballroom dancer. He was a graduate of the University of Toronto in Chemical Engineering in 1949. He was a world traveller, including exciting places such as the Orient, Europe, Africa and Great Britain. Bill was a loyal member of the Royal Canadian Military Institute and a member of Leaside United Church, Toronto. Visitation will be held at THE COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (356 Rubidge St., Peterborough, Ontario) on Monday November 12th from 7-9 pm. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, November 13th, 2007 at 11:00 am, followed by inurnment at Rosemount Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made to the Peterborough Regional Health Centre Foundation, or the Peterborough Humane Society. 10897942
