TUGWOOD, Karen Lynn (nee: Penfound) - May 5th, 1955 - November 12, 2007. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt and friend, Karen Lynn Tugwood, after eight years of batting cancer. Karen spent her final days at home with her beloved husband and soul mate of 34 years, Eric, by her side, at the age of 52 years. Karen will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her husband, Eric; her children William (Amanda) Tugwood and Tanya (Adam) Nicol; her grandchildren Hayden and Callum; her mother and father Kate and Claire Penfound; mothers in-law Betty Tugwood and Marg Tugwood; brothers and sisters Sharon (Rick), Ron (Peggy), Mark (Brenda), Steve, and Patti (Bob); brothers- in-law Earl (Marion), Terry; Robert (Cathy) and sister-in-law Brenda as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, in-laws and good friends. Karen truly was the heart of our family and friendships. Karen was predeceased by her grandparents Bob and Vi Penfound and Edward and Marjorie Quinn as well as her favourite uncle Bob Penfound, father-in-law Bill (Skip) Tugwood, brother-in-law Danny Hatch and her grandson Noah (Nanna is coming to be with you sweetheart). Karen resided in Caledonia for the past sixteen years. She was well known for her warm heart, beautiful smile and tendency to put others needs before her own. Karen was a happy woman who wanted others to share in her joy and love for life. Everything she did was right from her heart. Karen will be dearly missed by those she touched with her love and gentle kindness. The family will be welcoming friends and family for visitation at MILLERS FUNERAL HOME in Caledonia on Thursday, November 15, 2007 from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. and a Memorial Service on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. with cremation to follow. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to her nurses Barb and Jeanette for many years of caring, love and support; and to the many kind doctors and nurses at the Juravinski Cancer Centre in Hamilton. 10901448
