EVANS, John Henry ARPS, CPA Professional Photographer of Ontario and of Canada Member of the Royal Photographic Society Peacefully, at home on Saturday, November 3, 2007. John was born in Bristol, England in 1924 to his parents William and Jenny Evans. Beloved husband of Dody. Loving father of Susan (Andy), Rod (Doug) and the late Peter. Dear grandfather of Emily (Jamie) and step-great - grandfather of Harley and Hailey. He will be greatly missed by his niece Betsy (Bill) and family, his English nephews Peter Kemp and Richard Evans and Betty and Derek Pearce and family. John was a member of the Rotary Club of Ottawa (and was a recipient of the Paul Harris award), member of the 78th Fraser Highlanders, O.X.A. and the Barbershop Chorus of Ottawa for many years. We wish to remember fondly our wonderful caregivers, Dr. Jain, Harold, Terry, Lisa, Leslie and Amanda, without whose devotion and loving care we would not have been able to cope at home. Thanks to Carefore as well for all their support workers who made John's life more comfortable. Friends are invited to visit at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair & McGarry, 315 McLeod Street on Monday from 7-9pm and Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday at 2pm at St. Thomas the Apostle Anglican Church, 2345 Alta Vista Drive with a reception to follow.
