Alison Maureen DOWD

DOWD, Alison Maureen. After a long battle valiantly fought, Alison passed away at the Jewish General Hospital on Sunday, November 4, 2007 in the company of her loving family. She lived with the greatest hope, but it wasn't meant to be. She leaves to mourn her parents Brian and Carole (McGivern), her brother Kenneth (Rosanna Antonecchia), her brother Mark (Andrea Benedek) and her adored nieces Katelyn and Kristina. Alison had a special place in the hearts of her aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends, especially Sue, Karen and Donna. To family members and friends who offered invaluable service and strength, we are deeply grateful. To those doctors, nurses and staff who provided loving care and compassion we are in your debt. CLSC Pierrefonds and Nova assisted immensely in times of need. Merci. Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation at Rideau Funeral Home, 4275 Boul des Sources, Dollard Des Ormeaux. (514-685-3344) on Friday, November 9 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas a Becket Church, 4320 Ste. Anne St., Pierrefonds, Quebec on Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 12 noon. Condolences will also be accepted at the church one hour before Mass time. A private burial of the ashes will take place at Cimetiere Notre-Dame-des-Neiges at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.
