SILVER, Dr. Stephen Stanley With broken hearts, we announce the passing of a most kind and gentle soul, Dr. Stephen Stanley Silver, on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Most beloved husband and best friend of Paula. Loving and much loved father of Jordan and Sarena. Devoted son of Tillie Silver and cherished son-in-law of Jean Gurevitch (late Manny Gurevitch). Stephen will be dearly missed by his brothers-in-law, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, numerous friends and his transplant puppy, Melech. Predeceased by his father, Jack, and his sister, Barbara Nisker. Funeral service will be held at the Jewish Memorial Chapel, 1771 Cuba Avenue, Ottawa, on Friday, November 16, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment Jewish Community Cemetery, Bank Street. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions to the Bone Marrow Transplant Nursing Education Foundation at the Ottawa Hospital Foundation or Congregation Beth Shalom West would be appreciated. Flowers gratefully declined. Special thanks to the BMT team, especially Drs. Harry Atkins and John Seely, the staff of 5 West, and Medical Day Care, for all their wonderful care and compassion.
