George Alfred BARTLETT

BARTLETT, George Alfred. Peacefully at the Post Inn Village, Oakville, Ontario on November 12, 2007 in his ninety-second year. Beloved husband of the late Winifred Bartlett (nee Simpson). He leaves behind son Rob and his wife Ann, grandson Michael and his wife Alissa, Louis and Eileen and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his sister Grace and brother Jim. Survived by his sister Maude of Calgary, Alberta. Alf, as he was known to his friends, was a proud member of the Duke of Yorks 17th Royal Canadian Hussars, having served in England, France, Belgium, Holland and Germany during WWII. A private service was held in Oakville, Ontario with interment to follow at Mount Royal Cemetery (Montreal) at a date to be announced. Published in the Montreal Gazette on 11/15/2007
