Roy A. Hopper Roy Albert Hopper, 94, of Colpitts Settlement passed away peacefully at home Saturday October 20, 2007 Born at Allison he was a son of the late Whitmore and Etta (Bannister) Hopper. In his early working life Roy worked at Fred Colpitts Fox Ranch and later was a heavy equipment operator with D.O.T. and retired as a carpenter. He enjoyed the outdoors, family gatherings and time spent at the camp. Survived by his beloved wife, Peggy (nee Colpitts); five children, Debbie Carter (Larry), Lorne (Pam), Cheryl McCormick (Kevin), Richard (Yvonne) all of Colpitts Settlement, Marlene Colpitts (Barry) of Salisbury; grandchildren, Kevin, Christa Steeves (Mark), Michael, Kelli, Tim, Shauna and Jordie; sisters, Esther Elliott, Rita Geldart, Alberta Hopper; brothers, Wendell (Juanita) and Randall; and by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a brother, Ottie. Resting at the Salisbury Funeral Home, 3350 Salisbury Road (372-4800) with visiting Monday 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral will be held from the Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday October 23 at 3 p.m. with Pastor Rodney Blyth officiating.
