John Patrick Holland On October 19, 2007 John Patrick Holland, 89, Passed away peacefully at his home where he was born and raised in St. Margaret's NB surrounded by family after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. He is survived by his beloved wife of 62 years, Seraphine (Sera); his eight children, Donald(Jane) of Ottawa, Ont., William (Rachel) of St. Margaret's, NB., Brian (Madeleine) of Gatineau , PQ., Susan (Denis) of Laval, PQ., James (Connie) of Vanderhoof, BC., Kathleen (Emery) of Ottawa, Ont., John (Mary) of St. Margaret's, NB., Sharon (Ian) of Oromocto, NB.; and one foster daughter, Valerie Veniot of Dartmouth, NS; 11 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews that were like his children. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation with family and friends will be held from Maher's Funeral Home, Miramichi, NB., on Sunday, October 21st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 22nd from St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church in St. Margaret's with Fr John Fraser officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. As expressions of sympathy donations to the New Brunswick Extra Mural Program or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
