ARMSTRONG, G. Edward - at the Cornwall Community Hospital on Tuesday July 27, 2004, age 81. Edward Armstrong of Cornwall; Past President of the children’s Aid Society, Canadian Cancer Society, Cornwall golf and Country Club, Kiwanis, Member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 427, Member of the RCAF Wing 424, Vice Chair of the Cornwall Bicentennial Committee (1984), Chair of the CCVS High school 175th Reunion, Member of the Cornwall Centennial Choir, Volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Elder of St. John’s Presbyterian Church and member of the Cornwall Curling Club. Dear son of the late Clifford Lewis and the late Bertha Wihillimina Armstrong. Beloved husband of Pat (nee Patterson). Dear father of Richard Armstrong of Smith Falls and Rob Armstrong (Andrea) of Cambridge. Dear brother of Robert Armstrong (Margaret) of Ottawa. Proud Grandfather of Rachael, Shaun, Maireade, Jared, Reid, Griffen and Great Grandfather of Griffin. The family of the late Edward Armstrong will receive friends and relatives at McArthur Bros. & MacNeil Funeral Services will be held at St. John’s Presbyterian Church on Friday July 30th at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Dr. Fred Rennie officiating. Cremation to follow. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Alzheimer’s Society or the St. John’s restoration fund would be appreciated by the family.
